The boring stuff:
My name is Kristen.
I am 28 years old.
I have a Masters degree (Real Estate Development, rather useless right now).
I have a cat (Kiki Monster) and a Great Dane (Annabelle) that I love to bits. No other kids to mention.
I just recently moved from Missouri to Southern California. It happened in about a two week time period. Yes, I'm crazy.
I have an amazing Facebook Official Boyfriend that I met through Livejournal. He's the best.
I am so close to my family, it makes people sick. I moved away for two years and couldn't stand the separation much longer, so I moved back to a state I swore I would never live in again.
I come from a very poor family (think going without running water for a few months poor, not just can't afford gymnastics class poor).
But I figured this would be boring writing about all that. What is interesting about me?
Like the fact that I am a kid at heart. I often forget I am considered an adult and wonder when that realization will hit me.
Or that I was once attacked by a baboon wearing a diaper and overalls. How many people can say that? Not many I imagine. (read about it http://pixie117.livejournal.com/346868.html)
You might like to know that my favorite food ever is peanut butter and that I can eat an entire jar in one sitting without any trouble. Nothing else does it for me.
My favorite scent in the world is lilac. I could live off just that smell alone and never get sick of it. And if everything I owned was the color purple, I would be just fine with that as well. To say I am obsessed is an understatement (though I am not very girly in other ways).
My dream job would be to work with animals and only animals all day. I love people, but they get on my nerves sometimes. Dogs and cats never do.
I am agnostic (NOT atheist) but still consider myself spiritual. Hypocritical? I think not.
I was the bad girl freak in high school and even into college. I have many wild experiences I could write about, from van surfing topless singing Bon Jovi songs and much wilder things than that.
I was also on the speech and debate team. I love a good debate. I was also in the plays and did theater hard core.
I love road trips and traveling. Traveling the world is my biggest desire in life.
I am not your typical female at all. I like guy movies, and hate chick flicks. I don't like romance movies or books. Not a fan of sappy things either. I have a dark sense of humor that most people don't get. Though, I am rather girly in the way I like to dress and look. I love skirts and dressing up for a night out. I have a fondness for corset tops and thigh highs (as you can see from some of my icon choices). So overall, I am feminine on the outside, but not so much on the inside. I have more guy friends than girl friends and like it that way.
I simply adore classic and modern pinup girls. I collect anything I can that has to do with them (again, you can see that in my choice of icons too.)
I love the quirks in life. When things don't go as planned, I love it. It makes your life unique. I think it makes me a happier person over all.
I like to be different. I like to be me. I like when things don't go as planned. I like the spontaneity and surprises life throws at you sometimes.
I am sure my past and other information will come out through my journal eventually I wanted to write about the stuff I don't get to talk about much right now.
I am by no means normal. I don't feel the need to live my life to anyone's standards but my own, so please don't try to criticize me for my abnormal viewpoints and my unusual way of doing things.
Oh, by the way, I am an open book. If you have any questions or would like to know more about me, feel free to ask. Hardly anything (if anything at all) offends me.
